#1 Song One Year Ago: The Chainsmokers/Daya - Dont Let Me Down (3rd and Final Week At #1)

Biggest Drop: The Chainsmokers - Honest (-13)

Biggest Jump: Maroon 5/SZA - What Lovers Do (+9)

New Entrants:
-Sorry Guys, but I cant just seem to like this song. I listened to this many times including on Americas Got Talent, but I still dont see why people like this song. Again, her voice literally ruins the song. Plus, I dont know what those lyrics are. Overall, every time I listen to this song, it gets worse.

-So, Zedd is back! I can consider this song good, but it is a weak follow up to Stay. Comparing the two songs, Stay is so much better. However, this is a pretty nice song, even though I dont like it as much as I did when I first heard it.

-I TOLD YOU! I knew it was going to come back! Anyways, it got worse for me. For me, this is not my type of jam. The chorus and verses just seem so bad, and it gets worse. I have never heard of these guys, but same with Sweat, I dont care about this song.

-So, we come to the best debut. I was waiting for this song and it is really good! I have really grown into this song. The background voices in the chorus is my favorite, It puts the nice touch into the song. However, This is not his best (Which in my opinion is Stay With Me, or La La La)

Hitbound:

  • Evaride - Heartless
  • Zayn/Sia - Dusk Till Dawn
  • Taylor Swift - ...Ready For It?
  • Sabrina Carpenter - Why
  • Fergie/Nicki Minaj - You Already Know (DEBUT)
  • Niall Horan - Too Much To Ask (DEBUT)
  • Selena Gomez - Fetish
  • Why Dont We - Something Different
  • The Script - Rain
  • Lauv - I Like Me Better (DEBUT)
  • Dua Lipa - New Rules
  • Ed Sheeran - Perfect
  • PrettyMuch - Would You Mind
  • Hailee Steinfeld/Aleeso/Florida George Line - Let Me Go
-I think this might be my biggest guilty pleasure. I wouldn't imagine me liking a Fergie song, period!

-Great! More Niall Horan...Hits 1 has to have all the One Direction they can have! Even worse, this song is pretty bad. Very bland, and Niall is going the same approach again, and again...

-Never heard of Lauv, but I want to hear more! I really like this song a lot. The chorus is just so amazing, and everything else is pretty good.

-So I just realized something... Why Dont We were featured in in The Fall Of Jake Paul. I don't want to point the obvious, but Logan Paul must have convinced them a ton...

Top 5:
1. Taylor Swift - ...Ready For It?
2. Lauv - I Like Me Better
3. Hailee Steinfeld/Aleeso/Florida George Line - Let Me Go
4. Fergie/Nicki Minaj - You Already Know
5. Selena Gomez - Fetish

I'm Way Too Good At Blurbs:

-I was kinda sad that Feels left, since it left us too early. After too long, Weak is Out! I was waiting for the moment to come. Not only that but Issues is also gone! Issues was so bad because it was funny. What I mean is that Julia Michaels was so bad and funny, plus the whole song is so bland and boring. But the laughter doesn't stop! When I saw Julia Michaels in her music video for Issues, She looked TOUGH! For that kind of voice, I was expecting her to be SKINNY! I am going to be honest, I don't think I will ever like any of her music. Issues was the worst song on the countdown from the start, and it ended up the worst from the end! Now we move on to my favorite song of 2016, Closer. This one hit me pretty hard. When Closer first debuted on Hitbound, I was questionable. After Don't Let Me Down was my favorite song on the countdown for a while, I thought this was not as good. However, when I started to hear the song more and more I started to like it a lot, and eventually become purple when it debuted the countdown. At that point, It was #1 on the Billboard, and I knew it was going to hit #1 on this countdown. When it hit #1 I was so happy! It hit a total of 8 Weeks on the countdown. Even after it started to drop, It was still my favorite song on the countdown. This is when I had two thoughts. the first one was that when will I start to like another song more than Closer? I waited until it was 2017! Then it got dethroned by In The Name Of Love. It got dethroned because I was growing into In The Name Of Love a lot, not because I was growing out of Closer. The Second thought I had was that Closer was definitely going to be my favorite song of 2016. As of right now, I am still loving the song. I have never gotten sick of the song ever. Evertime I hear the song, it just reminds me from the very beginning when I first heard the song...

-Not much to talk about in the bottom 20, other than Honest being a flop... Not the right choice Chainsmokers, should have gone with Young, Bloodstream, or My Type

- Wow, Despacito just jumps into the top 20. Honestly, I dont care about this song anymore. It can just hang out a bit I guess.

-Body Like A Back Road DROPPED! Now lets get it out of the top 20!

-Not even going to waste time on talking about #9, jumping more...

- So Praying enters the top 5! This is definitely not going to hit #1, along with Galway Girl, and Sorry Not Sorry.

-So, were back with the same songs for the last three weeks. All the countdowns that I posted were either "Niall Horan (#), or Shawn Mendes (#)". At this point it just worse...

Niall Horan (2) - September 16, 2017

Hey Guys! This week was ok. Unfortunately, we had a exit that was really good. Hits 1 keeps on underrating hip-hop songs. I am definitely not surprised that they do that. First I'm The One, now this. Anyways, here is the lonely exit this week.

1. Niall Horan- Slow Hands (#4) [2nd Week at #1???]

#1 Song Last Year: The Chainsmokers/Daya- Dont Let Me Down (2nd Week of 3)

Biggest Jump: Portugal. The Man- Feel It Still (+19)

Biggest Drop: Linkin Park- One More Light (-18)

New Entrant:
-After Hearing this song, I honestly can't explain it a lot to you. All I can say is that this is very mediocre. Be prepared to see this in red next week. Also, I dont care about this. Whether it jumps into the top 20, or peaks at #32. There are just some songs that people just don't care about and filling up space for good hip-hop to squeeze in.

Hitbound:

  • PrettyMuch- Would You Mind
  • Sam Smith- Too Good At Goodbyes
  • Sabrina Carpenter- Why
  • Zayn/Sia- Dusk Till Dawn
  • The Script- Rain
  • Hailee Steinfeld/Aleeso/Florida George Line- Let Me Go
  • Ed Sheeran- Perfect (DEBUT)
  • Why Dont We- Something Different
  • Dua Lipa- New Rules (DEBUT)
  • Selena Gomez- Fetish
  • Evaride- Heartless

  • Zedd/Liam Payne- Get Low
- And Wish I Knew You is gone...again! Wont be surprised it comes back...again!

Top 5:
1. Taylor Swift- ...Ready For It?
2. Hailee Steinfeld/Aleeso/Florida George Line- Let Me Go
3. Sam Smith- Too Good At Goodbyes
4. Zayn/Sia- Dusk Till Dawn
5. The Script- Rain

Blurb! (Sorry...)

- I talked about our exit a little bit in the intro. It just seems unfair, and I know that any song that is doing great everywhere else is going to fail here, hence Wild Thoughts leaving, but it feels weird. Despacito peaking at #3, Look What You Made Me Do only at #9, and Most importantly, I'm The One not even reaching the top 20. I am going to stop now to prevent myself from continuing this rant...

- Not much really happened, I still only have 4 "bad" songs, which is good, but there are a lot of blue songs that are on the border of red and blue. I'm talking to you #38, #32,#30,#26, and #23.

-#25-#28 are all songs that debuted last week. Halsey won the battle. Well not really...

- So, right when I like Linkin Park it drops. wow. just wow Hits 1.

- Yes, I have grown into What Lovers Do. I can just feel that I will never get sick of it, whether of overplay, or oldness

- Feel It Still jumped. Ill take it I guess

- So, the song that made it big by debuting at #13 (keep in mind, this tied the record for highest debut, with Call Me Maybe) decides to jump 3, then 1! I thought this was going to break the record for shortest amount of weeks to hit #1 (held by Adele- Hello with 3 Weeks) but no. Now it has no chance of breaking the record. Freaking Galway Girl is higher...HOW?

- The top 2 need to stop what there doing and drop. I'm tired of listening to these two songs nonstop. 5 Weeks. 2 Weeks. 7 Weeks undeserved weeks that could have gone to another song or two.

Shawn Mendes (5) - September 9, 2017

Hey Guys, welcome back.

So as i'm writing this it is September 11th. 16 years ago a devastating attack happened in New York. Two Planes crashed into the Twin Towers. Not only that but one plane also attacked the pentagon, and One was aiming for the white house, but gladly failed. I would like to have a moment of silence for those who have passed away from this attack, and injured really badly...

Thank You

#1 Song Last Year: The Chainsmokers/Daya- Dont Let Me Down (1st Of 3 Weeks)

Biggest Jump:  Cheat Codes/Demi Lovato- No Promises (+18)

Biggest Drop: Calvin Harris/Pharrell/Katy Perry- Feels (-17)

Entrants:

-So, Harry Styles is back with Two Ghosts. I just feel like this isn't the type of song for me. This is definitely not as good as Sign Of The Times, but the song has a rhythm but overall, its only decent.

-Next is Give Love. I just don't like this song. The Chorus is too repetitive and the verses are terrible. Lately Andy is not doing good. First Fresh Eyes, then this. I liked him when he released Honey I'm Good. That was the good Andy back then.

-Yes, I have indeed grown into the people that are not even Portugal's song, Feel It Still. I have just been enjoying it, and the weird part doesn't sound weird again!

-Halsey is back! I'm being honest, I was a little disapointed. I was expecting more from Halsey, since Closer, Now Or Never, and Colors were amazing. This isn't bad, but I was just expecting more from Halsey.

-Justin is just rocking it in 2017. First 2016 by having two songs in the top 2 of the billboard year-end list. I am not suprissed that I Like this song a lot. What can I say, I like most of Justin's work. This was so close to being in my top 5, but you will see why. This can be my 6th favorite song on the countdown...

-Of course Hits 1 has to add all the Maroon 5 songs and all of them have to hit the top 5. This means that What Lovers Do is guaranteed to hit the top 5. For me I really don't care about it hitting the top 5......yet.......anyways, I really like this song, but definitely not as good as Payphone, my favorite Maroon 5 song. Overall, I am enjoying this song..........for now............

Hitbound:

  • The Revivalists- Wish I Knew You (RE-ENTRY)
  • Taylor Swift-...Ready For It? (DEBUT)
  • PRETTYMUCH- Would You Mind
  • Why Dont We- Something Different (DEBUT)
  • The All- American Rejects- Sweat
  • Kelly Clarkson- Love So Soft (DEBUT)
  • Sam Smith- Too Good At Goodbyes (DEBUT)
  • Sabrina Carpenter- Why
  • Zayn/Sia- Dusk Till Dawn (DEBUT)
  • Hailee Steinfeld/Aleeso/Florida George Line- Let Me Go (DEBUT)
  • The Script- Rain (DEBUT)
  • Selena Gomez- Fetish
  • Evaride- Heartless
  • Zedd/Liam Payne- Get Low
-Yeah, I don't know what to say for Wish I Knew You...

-What did you expect. You know that I love Taylor's solo songs. This is so close to being as good as Look What You Made Me Do. More on it when it debuts.........

-Something Different is nice. I like the bands voices, and the music video is pretty nice

- Kelly Clarkson is back with a decent song only. I mean her voice kinda ruins it but its pretty good. More on it when it debuts...

- The main reason why this song is good is because of Sam's voice. I mean, his voice is so good and he can hit those high notes easily. More on it when it debuts

-Zayn collaborating with Sia is nice. I saw the music video and it looked pretty good. The song overall, is really good especially with Sia in it. She makes it better. This is better than Still Got Time definitely.

-Hailee Steinfeld never lets me down. She brings Aleeso, and Florida George Line. I am really enjoying this song a lot. And actually, Florida George Line is good!

-Never heard of The Script but I like Rain a lot. These guys are really good and I want to see more of them

-So apparently, Heartless has less than 50,000 views on youtube. So they can bring this song, but not Unforgettable, which has over 300,000,000 views. Wow Hits 1, just wow...

Top 5:
1. Taylor Swift- ...Ready For It?
2. Hailee Steinfeld/Aleeso/Florida George Line- Let Me Go
3. The Script- Rain
4. Zayn/Sia- Dusk Till Dawn
5. Why Dont We- Something Different

And If It Ends, Can We Be Blurbs?:

-So, lets talk exits. I am sad that Now Or Never left. Just Hold On, Mercy, and Bad Liar had to leave at some point. The ones I want to talk about are the ones in red ;). Play That Song deserved to leave. At first I barely liked the song. Then it got annoying being in the top 20 for a long time. Then it was time to put it in red, but it still got worse. I'm glad its gone, but I am more excited about the other exit in red. Everyone, lets celebrate for Uh Huh leaving on its 6th Week!!!!!

-I can't believe Closer survived. I'll take it definitely

-Issues is my new worst song just becuase it gets worse and her voice gets worse all the time. I have hated this song from the start and I will still hate it till the very end

-Feels took a rough drop down in the top 40. Honestly I don't care about this song anymore, but I am very unhappy about the drop

-No Despacito hitting for 16 Weeks is not a mistake...

-A couple songs fell out of the top 20. I am ok with Champion, Good Times, and Lights Down Low falling out to put better songs in the top 20, but i'm sad that Most Girls fell after a big recovery.

-With a couple songs leaving the top 20, then there are a couple top 20 entrances. Galway Girl, Thunder, and No Promises are much better than Champion, Good Times, and Lights Down Low. Good Trade.

-Praying also entered the top 20 which I am happy about. I was waiting for Kesha for a long time, so this was worth the wait.

-Let me explain. Yes, I have grown into Save Me A Place, and One More Light. I grown into Save Me A Place because of the chorus that sounds like Ellie Goulding. I grown into One More Light beacuse of the vocals of deceased lead singer, Chester Bennington (Rest In Piece. You Will Be Missed) are growing onto me a lot. I listened to Numb, Heavy, and recently this song a lot and I have just liked them so much now. However, both Save Me A Place, and One More Light are at their peak in my opinion. Dont be surprised if next week they are not in the top 5.

-Seriously. Seriously? It only jumped THREE spots. I thought it was going to hit #1. Meanwhile Something Just Like This jumps into the top 5. I'll take it!

-I'm being for real, #3 is scaring me a lot. If it hits #1, there will be big consequences. Strip That Down is holding it back. If it continues to do that, then #3 can go back. And yes, we shall not name the song

-Now onto our #1. I didn't want to do this, but I have to. 5 Weeks. Wow, thats too much for a song like this. Heck, 3 Weeks was a little too much. I am tired of hearing this song on my local radio, and on Sirius XM. For now its blue, but im sure if it hits #1 again, then it will be lower. On the brightside, I'll take this over #3.

My Top 10 Songs of 2016

Welcome Back, this is my second post. As i said inn the previous post, i am going to share my top 10 songs of 2016. I will also include some honarable mentions. So anyways, lets start with number 10!

10. Zara Larsson/MNEK- Never Forget You
- Kicking off the list is a song that actually has lyrical content. The part I like most about the song is the lyrics. Its about that one friend you will never forget. The Chorus is the second best part of the song. I can go on for a while, so overall, the lyric and everything else in general is very nice.

9. Colplay/Beyonce- Hymn For The Weekend
- First, let me specify that i'm talking about the original. Yeah, the SeeB remix is good, but definitely not as good as the original. The remix is too fast, but the original is just right. Beyonce's voice at the end is a touch to end the song. Hits 1 played the SeeB remix which kind of infuriated me, but I got used to it. However, it was still not as good as the original. Recently I went to a Coldplay concert and man Chris Martin can sing live very well. Overall, the song is really good

8. Major Lazer/Justin Bieber/MO- Cold Water
- Yes, I kind of did a teaser about Cold Water being in the top 10, I wasn't Wrong! I already explained it in the last post, but i'll explain it again. Justin's voice is nice, and the production is great. MO does a really nice job with her voice and lyrics. Overall, its a nice song

7. Hailee Steinfeld/Grey/Zedd- Starving
- This is partially why Starving was still green. I love the production on the song and Hailee's voice is really nice. This song also never gets old for me, so thats the other reason why the song was still green, To conclude, its a nice sound and it just never gets old.

6. Drake/WizKid/Kyla- One Dance
- So, Hits 1 underrates this song by only letting it peak at #17, but on billboard it peaks at number one for 10 weeks, and it was #3 on the year end chart. That tells a lot about Hits 1. Anyways, Drake is going for a new approach and it worked. The song in general is really good, and overall, I just like the song a lot in general.

We are now moving in the top 5. These songs a lot and I will always like them no matter what.

5. The Chainsmokers/Daya- Dont Let Me Down
- When this first came out, I only thought it was good. But I grew into it a lot, and now its in my top 5 songs of 2016. I like the EDM from The Chainsmokers, and Daya's voice fits nice. I like the chorus a lot also. Overall, I feel like The Chainsmokers do a nice job with the EDM topped off with Daya's vocals, and the chorus is very nice.

4. Lukas Graham- 7 Years
- This is another song that has lyrical content, but this danish band decided to go further with the lyrical content. This song talks about life in general from 7 Years to 60 years. I think this is a very sweet song, and sadly this band can't come up with another hit. Yeah, Mama Said, and Your Not There were good, but they weren't hits, nor they were as good as 7 Years. I wish these guys can come up with a another good hit because they are really good. The vocals are on point and the lyrics go very good together. I'm waiting for another song Lukas Graham, dont let me down(Not a Chainsmokers reference).

3. Taylor Swift- New Romantics
- Some people can consider this a 2014 song, but the single itself came out in 2016, so I consider this both a 2014 and a 2016 song. Apparently, this song flopped during 2016, but did really good on the Weekend Countdown landing itself at #1 for not one, but two weeks at #1. I was really happy when it hit #1, but I was even happier when it hit #1 again. Taylor Swift voice is really good, especially in the separate verses. Now this is definitely not as good as Bad Blood, and Wildest Dreams, but I do consider this Song better than 22 and I Knew You Were Trouble. I should probably do my top 10 favorite Taylor Swift Songs. New Romantics definitely deserves this spot at #3.

2. The Chainsmokers/Rozes- Roses
- Were back with The Chainsmokers and this time there here with Rozes who I have never heard, but she sounds really good. The Drop reminds me of Something Just Like This, but when I first heard Something Just Like This, it reminded me of Roses. The Drop is amazing and the vocals are on point. The Chainsmokers have never let me down, and they continue to make really good music. Overall, The song is really good, the vocals are nice, and the EDM is spot on.

We are almost there! But first lets look at some honorable mentions of 2016

Honorable Mention 1: Twenty One Pilots- Ride
- In my Opinion, this is Twenty One Pilots second best song, first being Tear In My Heart. I like the vocals and the last part the best.

Honorable Mention 2: DJ Snake/Justin Bieber- Let Me Love You
- I love this song a lot, its just that its a little bit too short of a song, but overall its a song that makes you want to dance

Honorable Mention 3: Demi Lovato- Confident
- I like the meaning behind this song, and overall, her voice is strong and really nice especially in this song.

Honorable Mention 4: Justin Bieber- Love Yourself
So this song landed itself at #1 on the billboard year-end chart of 2016. Wow, I wasn't expecting that. This is definitely Justin's best song. Ed Sheeran was also behind this. No wonder why its so good

Honorable Mention 5: Flo Rida- My House
- Now this is a song I would jam out to. I love his voice in the chorus and the intro is really good. I would play this when i'm having a party

Honorable Mention 6: DJ Snake/Bipolar Sunshine- Middle
- The main reason its on here is because of that sick drop. One of the best drops of 2016.

Honorable Mention 7: Fifth Harmony/Fetty Wap- All In My Head (Flex)
- Back When Fifth Harmony were pretty good. Now there pretty bad with Down being a flop. And surprisingly Fetty Wap doesn't sound bad!

Now on to my number one song of 2016. Some of You might have already guessed it right, but some might be wrong. The number one is...

1. The Chainsmokers/Halsey- Closer
- First off, let me just say that all three Chainsmokers hits are in my top 5 and top 2! That just proves that i'm pretty much a Chainsmokers fan. The beginning sound makes you want to listen to it more. Keep in mind, this is Andrew Taggart's first time doing vocals on a song. And to be honest, he's actually really good. His vocals gets much better in Paris. For a first time vocalist thats really good. I mean he probably practiced before he recorded the song. Going back to the song, Taggart does the first verse really well, then the Chorus comes. This probably the second most memorable part of the song. And the the drop. That drop is better than DJ Snake/Bipolar Sunshine- Middle drop. I could consider the drop, the best drop of 2016. The drop sounds like kazoos but who cares if its kazoos or not. The drop is just good. Then Halsey sings the second verse. Halsey has one of the greatest female pop artist voice ever. Then the chorus, and the sick drop happen again. Finally Taggart finishes the third verse nicely, then it comes. Taggart says "We Ain't never getting older", then Halsey says the same thing. Then they alternating, and the tension builds. Then finally the sick drop happens, and then the song ends. That is the most memorable part of the song. The song just never gets old and more importantly, it will always be my favorite song of 2016.

So that concludes my top 10 songs of 2016. I'm thinking about doing a bottom 10 songs of 2016 so yeah.

Bye
:)
