#1 Song This Week One Year Ago: Twenty One Pilots - Heathens (2nd and Final week at #1)

Biggest DRRRRRRROP!!! Of The Week: Sam Smith - Too Good At Goodbyes (-22)

Biggest Jump Of The Week: Maroon 5 - Wait (+18)

New Entrants:
- I'll be honest, I don't like when Hits1 picks up random people, but I really like this song a lot, especially that drop. I don't have any thing else to sat, but the fact that this is a pretty good song.

- NF is one of the few rappers that actually puts meaning into his songs. I really like the meaning in Let You Down. And actually I'm surprised that that word voice in the background is not annoying.

- P!nk has definitely gone down in music. This honestly sounds like a christams song, and it is alright I have to say. It's just that I honestly don't like her voice in the verses.

- Guilty pleasure alert! Camila Cabello is mixed for me. Crying In The Club was pretty bad, and Havana is decent without Young Thug. This is actually kinda good, and I don't know why. I really don't know how to really explain why this song is really good.

Hitbound:

  • Sofi Tukker featuring NERVO, Alisa Ueno, and The Knocks - Best Friend
  • Troye Sivan - My My My!
  • Clean Bandit featuring Julia Michaels - I Miss You
  • The Chainsmokers - Sick Boy
  • Portugal. The Man - Live In The Moment (DEBUT)
  • Post Malone - I Fall Apart (DEBUT)
  • All Time Low - Last Young Renegade
  • Wild Things - Don't Wanna Feel It (DEBUT)
  • Zedd featuring Maren Morris & Grey - The Middle (DEBUT)
  • Alan Walker featuring Noah Cyrus & Digital Farm Animals - All Falls Down
  • AJR featuring Rivers Cuomo - Sober Up
  • Imagine Dragons - Whatever It Takes
  • Kesha featuring Dap-Kings Horns - Woman
  • Spencer - Whatever
- The only entrant I want to talk about is The Middle. If Zedd keeps up with this work, then honestly he should just quit EDM. This is literally a Stay rip-off. You can't do this if you are Zedd. The only thing that is keeping this form red is Marren Morris' vocals. other than that, this is just not ok for Zedd. 2/5 for this and will prbably be a 0/5 later on.

Biggest Jump Of The Week: Tie between MAX featuring Gnash – Lights Down Low and Walk The Moon – One Foot (+13)

New Entrants: (& Last Weeks) [These will be short cause you know the reason...]:

- I have grown into Finesse a lot! Surprisingly its because of Cardi B. I wish she had a lot more to contribute. Bruno Mars also does an amazing job with the vocals. Overall, a really good song.

- Filthy is also a pretty good song, but definitely not even close to being as good as his top 5 work. This is good, and I see he is taking a new approach, but I see this becoming annoying, and I will probably grow out of it.

- When it left Hit-Bound, I was kinda pissed, but then I realized that it was still on the voting poll. I am really happy that it debuted, and it even debuted at #20! That is the power of a song exiting Hit-Bound! Overall, amazing.

- After talking about three good songs, we come to a bad one. Maroon 5 has been going down a lot since 2017. Although they had What Lovers Do, that was a collaboration. Their solo songs are honestly just trash. Wait is a perfect example of trying to hard to make a good song. Overall, Maroon 5 is going to become the next Katy Perry if they keep this up.

Hit-Bound:
  • NF – Let You Down
  • Kesha featuring The Dap-Kings Horns – Woman
  • Camila Cabello – Never Be The Same
  • Alan Walker featuring Noah Cyrus and Digital Farm Animals – All Falls Down
  • P!NK – Beautiful Trauma
  • Spencer – Whatever
  • Troye Sivan – My My My!
  • Clean Bandit featuring Julia Michaels – I Miss You
  • Imagine Dragons – Whatever It Takes
  • The Chainsmokers – Sick Boy (DEBUT)
  • WØLVES – Animal
  • All Time Low – Last Young Renegade
  • AJR featuring Rivers Cuomo – Sober Up
  • Sofi Tukker featuring NERVO, Alisa Ueno, and The Knocks – Best Friend
- The Chainsmokers are BACK! They are bringing a very powerful song and they are taking a risk by doing so. All I have to say is HOW THE HELL DOES THIS SOUND LIKE TWENTY ONE PILOTS...sorry... its just that people who hear say that and I just get triggered by it cause they both have different ways of doing things. Do I have to mention that one of them is not even a band...

Look. I owe you an explanation for all of this mess. I have been lacking behind fro the last 3-4 Weeks I would say. These posts just seem messy and rushed. I really don't want that, but I have to, so that I can be caught up. Heck, I still have 3 Year-end Reviews to do! A lot has been going in my life and I can tell that I can't keep on doing this. I wan't to start over. This does not mean that I am deleting this blog. It means that I just want to refresh everything, keep everything up to date on the blog (Like the purple/orange squad page), and just keep things neat so that I can do this easier. That will come with a cost. I request that I can copy-paste someone's Hits1 Weekend Countdown (Preferably someone that can release their post on time most of the time). If no one responds, then I will just copy-paste the page I want and I will credit the person in the very beginning. This is so I can get caught up with everything and I can get back to my usual posts with maybe a new format. Again, I am really sorry for this. My pageviews become less and less each post and I 100% take the blame. I really do not want to be that guy that is always slaking on their posts and getting crappy posts 1 week after the intended release. I am not leaving, it's just that for the next month or two, I want to be caught up with everything and be in a rhythm after that. I do this for the few people that look at this. That spend there time reading this messy, rushed, and crappy posts. For those people that stuck to reading these posts, thank you. When you know someone you don't know is reading your posts, it makes you flattered. I want that to last. I am blabbing to much, so I will end it here.

One More Thing...

#1 Recommendation For Hits1: The Chainsmokers - Sick Boy

Its purple for a reason. I'll See You Again

#1 Song One Year Ago: Maroon 5/Kendrick Lamar - Don't Wanna Know (1)

Biggest Drop: (TIE) Kesha - Praying AND Taylor Swift - ...Ready For It? (-15)

Biggest Jump: Eminem/Ed Sheeran - River (+13)

Entrants:

Right now, we have 6 SONGS with Ed Sheeran in it. God Damn it Hits1. Yes, we know you love him, but please do not brig anymore.

- So, is it weird that I have all three Taylor Swift songs in my top 5? I am not surprised. I have been waiting on this song to debut as soon as it appeared on Hit-Bound. Taylor does a nice job with the chorus, and Future and Ed Sheeran provide some good vocals in their verses. Overall, for the only song on the reputation album to have a collaboration, it is the 2nd best song on the album, and you know what is the 1st ;)

- I used to think this was decent, but I'm starting to like it now. The only problem I have is the I guess the drop? (The one with "Oh na na"). These guys are not dominating like they were before. These guys are just not the same. Their last amazing song I heard was Irresistible and that had Demi Lovato. Overall, its a grower, but I can't see this in dark purple.

Hit-Bound:

  • Spencer – Whatever
  • AJR/Rivers Cuomo – Sober Up
  • Sofi Tukker/NERVO – Best Friend
  • Bruno Mars/Cardi B – Finesse (DEBUT)
  • Wolves – Animal
  • Imagine Dragons – Whatever It Takes
  • Maroon 5 – Wait (DEBUT)
  • NF – Let You Down
  • Justin Timberlake – Filthy (DEBUT)
  • Camila Cabello – Never Be The Same
  • P!nk – Beautiful Trauma
  • Clean Bandit/Julia Michaels – I Miss You
  • All Time Low – Last Young Renegade
  • Alan Walker/Noah Cyrus/Digital Farm Animals – All Falls Down
  • [Exit]: G-Eazy/Halsey - Him & I

- This may sound weird, but Cardi B didn't sing enough. I know I know,, but I really like Cardi B contribute to this song. Bruno was fine, but sometimes, I felt like Cardi B could be singing that verse instead of him. I don't know.

- VERY MEDIOCRE. This is why Maroon 5 should be making collaborated songs, intead of only themselves. Near the end it starts to get very bland. Overall, not the Maroon 5 I know...

- When I first heard this song, I didn't know what was happening. After a few more listens, I guess I get the song now? I can predict that this will be a grower for me. Also, he is probably going to preform this at the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Lets Go New England Patriots! (Sorry pretty much everyone looking at this post [p.s. Not a Band Wagon...])

Top 5:
1. NF - Let You Down
2. Alan Walker/Noah Cyrus/Digital Farm Animals - All Falls Down
3. Imagine Dragons - Whatever It Takes
4. Bruno Mars/Cardi B - Finesse
5. Camila Cabello - Never Be The Same

I Wanna Be You Blurb Game, Blurb Game!

Exits: One More Light was more of a tribute, which is fine, since this song was good. All I have to say is R.I.P Chester Bennington.

- Imagine Dragons hitting #1 does not surprise me a lot. I was expecting this to get the same number of weeks as Believer. I am slightly growing out of this song, but its probably going to head in the path of Believer currently.

- So, Rockstar decided to hit the top 10. Everyone but me and some other people are horrified by this. Me? I'm growing in the song so much it is in purple. I'm sorry, but I really like Post Malone's vocals and the production is really nice. So far, this is the only 2017 debuted rap song to hit the top 10. That is nice, but I would've preferred I'm The One and Wild Thoughts.

-  You know what? Lets give some consideration to What Lovers Do. I feel so bad since Look What You Made Me Do blocked its path to be in purple for and now Rockstar is replacing Look What You Made Me Do. This song is really good, so expect to be in the top 20 of 2017, which by the way, is coming VERY soon. I'm trying to complete this to move on to Year-End stuff.

Sorry the Lack and I mean a lot of LACK of blurbs, I want explain a new additon to each countdown post

So, I want to countdown the whole countdown each countdown. #1 is the best song on the countdown and #45 is the worst. Think of this as a personal chart. The songs will have peaks and some will hit #1 (#1 as in my favorite song on the countdown). This will affect their position in the top 45 songs in 2018. Hey! Back with another Year End Post! This time its Hitbound Dropouts, #1's, and Stats!

NOTE: This is the color code I will use...

Purple - Best
Green - Great
Blue - Good
Pink - Decent
Yellow - Meh
Turquoise - Bad
Red - Crap
Orange - Worst

Hitbound had a lot of songs that debuted the countdown, but a lot didn't make it and left Hit-bound. Here is the list for all of the Hitbound dropouts of 2017:

  • Bebe Rexha – The Way I Are (Dance With Somebody)

  • Shawn Hook/Vanessa Hudgens – Reminding Me
  • Taylor Swift – Gorgeous

- Overall, pretty good Hitbound Dropouts. Although it is sad that those songs never debuted the countdown, one of them gets the 2017 Lights Over Paris Hitbound Hero Award! This award is for the best Hit-Bound Dropout. The award goes to a song that I really liked and if it debuted the countdown, it would've been in my top 10 of 2017. I was really angry when it left. Here it is I guess...

2017 Lights Over Paris Hit-Bound Hero Award: Lorde - Green Light

Now onto our #1's of 2017. A lot of songs only hit #1 for 1-3 weeks. Those that went ahead were pretty popular (except one that you can probably figure out yourself...). Here is the list...

  • Zedd/Alessia Cara – Stay (4)
  • The Chainsmokers/Coldplay – Something Just Like This (3)
  • Ed Sheeran – Castle On The Hill (3)

  • Hailee Steinfeld/Grey/Zedd – Starving (1) [4 total]
  • P!nk – What About Us (1)
  • Twenty One Pilots – Heathens (1) [2 total]

Now onto the stats!

CREDIT: All of the following stats came from Montavis. He is an excellent blogger and I recommend checking him out by clicking his name.

Shortest Tenured Song: Kehlani/G-Eazy - Good Life (1 Week)

Longest Tenured Songs: Ed Sheeran - Shape Of You (50 Weeks) [present on countdown]

I also want to give recognition to the highest debuted song of the year. You all know what song it is...

Highest Debuted Song Of 2017: Taylor Swift - Look What You Made Me Do (#13) [TIED for All-Time Record]

Now for the last award. Biggest Whiff Of The Year. The award goes to a song that was a big hit, but failed to even debut Hit-Bound! Everyone is probably thinking of Humble. , but I want to do something different. Hits1 definitely does not appreciate Hip-Out songs, which is really sad. Even if they debut the countdown, they fail. So I'm going to give this award to a song that was on the Youtube15, but was blocked by songs that no one know and had less than 50K views. This song had 600 Million view! You know that this song is a whiff. Here it is.

Biggest Whiff Of The Year Award: French Montana/Swae Lee - Unforgettable

There it is! Sorry if this is late. Next will be my Top 45 Songs Of 2017 which should be out by this weekend. Stay tuned and Happy Late New Year!
